Baskit ("the App") is a shopping-list app developed by Lume Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: your lists, products and expenses stay on your device, and optional services (analytics, crash reports, news notifications and ads) only run under the conditions described below.

1. Information stored on your device

Baskit is designed to work offline. The following is created by you and stored locally on your device:

  • Shopping lists, products and shopping sessions
  • Expenses and price history
  • Your settings and preferences (display name, country, language, currency, theme, notification and voice preferences)
  • Photos you choose for your profile or for custom products

Baskit does not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a server that stores your lists, products, expenses or photos. We therefore do not receive this content.

2. Microphone and voice input

If you use voice input, Baskit asks for permission to use your microphone and, on some devices, speech recognition. Voice input is optional; the App works without it, and you can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings.

Baskit uses your device's built-in speech recognition service to turn your speech into text. Baskit does not record, store or send your audio to Lume Labs. Depending on your device, the operating system's speech service (for example one provided by Google or Apple) may process your speech under its own privacy policy. The recognized text is used only to add items to your list.

3. Camera and photos

If you choose to add a profile photo or a photo for a custom product, Baskit uses your device's photo picker (and, on iOS, camera or photo library access). Selected images are stored only on your device inside the App.

4. Optional analytics and crash reports

Baskit can use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to understand how the App is used and to fix crashes. These are off by default and only start if you give consent in the App. You can change your choice at any time in Profile → Advanced.

If you consent, the App may send usage events such as creating a list, adding a product, using voice input, starting a shopping session, setting a budget, or backing up and clearing data, along with your selected country, app language and currency, and crash reports. These events do not include the contents of your lists, product names, amounts or voice text. Google's SDKs may also receive technical information such as device model, operating system version and IP address as part of providing the service.

5. News and tips notifications

On Android, you can opt in to receive news and tips through Firebase Cloud Messaging. This is off by default. If you enable it, the App subscribes your device to topics based on your app language and country. Baskit does not store a messaging token on our own servers. You can turn this off at any time in the notification settings.

Separately, reminders and "smart" notifications are generated locally on your device and do not involve our servers.

6. Advertising

On Android, Baskit may display ads using Google AdMob. Whether ads are shown is controlled remotely through Firebase Remote Config. When ads are active, Google may process device and advertising identifiers (including the Android advertising ID) to serve and measure ads. Where required, we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform, and you can choose personalized or non-personalized ads. The App also offers an optional rewarded ad (“Support Baskit”) that gives a short ad-free period.

You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device's Google settings. See how Google uses data in advertising.

7. Remote configuration

The App uses Firebase Remote Config to fetch settings such as ad configuration. This request is made by Google's SDK and may include technical information such as your IP address and app version.

8. Purchases

Baskit does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not collect payment information.

9. Backup and export

Baskit lets you export your data as text (JSON) to the clipboard and import it again. This is manual and does not use any cloud service from us. Once you paste or save that data elsewhere, its protection is your responsibility.

10. Third-party services

Baskit uses services from Google, each subject to its own terms and privacy practices:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties other than the service providers described above.

11. Data retention and deletion

Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it. You can erase everything at any time in Profile → Backup and restore → Reset app, which clears your lists, products, sessions, expenses, prices, settings and images and resets your consent choices. Uninstalling the App also removes this data.

Because we do not hold your lists or expenses on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete there. Data processed by Google through Firebase or AdMob is kept according to Google's own retention settings. To ask a question or make a request about data we may hold, see our Delete Data page or contact us.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to withdraw consent, or to object to certain processing. In Baskit you can withdraw consent for analytics, crash reports, news notifications and ad personalization at any time in the App. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details below.

13. Children's privacy

Baskit is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Data security

Your data is stored on your device, and communications with Google services use encrypted connections. We take reasonable measures to protect the App, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date, and material changes will be communicated in the App where appropriate.
